SURFING FAQs

What spots are we going to surf?

Everything depends on weather conditions, tides, wave size, and crowds. Our main spots we usually surf at are Puaena Point, Lanis, Kaiaka Bay beach park, Chuns reef, and white plains beach.

How many hours a day will I be surfing?

You will get a full 2 hours everyday to catch waves at one of our local breaks. This tends to be more than enough time for most of our guests as surfing is very tiring and physically demanding.

What kind of boards do you have for me to ride?

We have mostly longboards in the 9ft. + range but also have a couple fun boards and shortboards. Don’t you worry, we have the perfect board for you to ride all week. If we don’t, we will track one down for you! PS. You’re more than welcome to bring your own surfboard too!

Is a private Surf Lesson included in the retreat?

Absolutely! Jason will make sure to choose the right surfboard for you and have you dialed in before you paddle out. Knowledge is key and the more you know… the more comfortable you’ll feel out in the ocean. 1 private lesson is included. More lessons can be purchased upon request.

When will we go surfing?

This too depends on tides and weather. Typically the best waves are found in the morning time (7am) but sometimes the evening sessions (4pm) can be the best. Both evening and morning will be full of great waves waiting for you.

What is the best time of year to surf on Oahu?

Luckily, there’s always waves year around on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The North Shore tends to be the best during fall and winter and the South Shore has the best waves during spring and summer. Although, no matter what time of year you come…we will find waves just for you!
